Baytown: The Center of Excitement

Located within the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area, Baytown lies along State Highway 146 and Interstate 10. It is the fourth-largest city within this metropolitan area, presenting many opportunities for recreation, such as the Baytown Nature Center located on a 450-acre peninsula, the Houston Ship Channel, Burnet Bay, Crystal Bay, and Scott Bay. Other attractions include the Royal Purple Raceway, a motorsports complex featuring a weekly drag racing program; San Jacinto Mall, a large regional shopping mall that features five anchor stores, a food court, and Premiere Cinemas 11; The Baytown Little Theatre, a community theatre run entirely by volunteers for over 55 years. For outdoor enthusiasts, the area features over 40 parks that offer many amenities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, and disc golf courses.
