Eat Great Food and Hear New Music at the 4th Annual Soundbites Food Truck Festival

Love to eat? You are not alone! Join fellow culinary enthusiasts at the 4th Annual Soundbites Food Truck Festival! This afternoon food festival will take place at Peggy Park this Saturday, April 27th. Come hungry and bring your friends!

Houston’s third annual Black-owned food truck festival is back with food, music, and fun entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy the best food trucks and food vendors Houston has to offer while enjoying Houston’s hottest DJs, who will play a variety of music all day. Plus, children will love playing in the on-site Kids Zone!

The Food Truck Festival is just one of the many exciting events happening during Houston’s Black Restaurant Week. Black Restaurant Week celebrates the flavors of African-American, African, and Caribbean cuisines and shows support for the many Black chefs, caterers, and business owners who call Houston home. This year’s participants include Alfreda’s Soul Food, Ray’s BBQ, Turkey Leg Hut, The French Fry House, Lucille’s, Etta’s, Phil and Derek’s Restaurant and Jazz Lounge, and several others.

The foundation of the Black Restaurant Week model is supporting culinary endeavors. This year, the group is partnering with F.A.R.M.S. to support their efforts to help rural small farmers. Family Agriculture Resource Management Services (F.A.R.M.S.) is a regional 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to providing legal and technical services to farmers of color in an effort to prevent the loss of landownership, build generational wealth and eradicate hunger in the farmers community. In F.A.R.M.S.’ four years of operation they have donated over 220,000 pounds of produce to hunger relief agencies.

Show your support for an incredible cause and the Black chefs, caterers, and business owners who help make Houston cuisine stand above the rest. Admission to the Soundbites Food Truck Festival ranges from $7 to $10 for adults. Free entry is granted to children age 10 and under.

Step outside of our welcoming and comfortable community at Oxford at Country Club Apartments in Baytown, Texas for the day! This event is coming to town on Saturday, and it promises to be a wonderful time!
