Do Your Part to Eliminate PCOS When You Sign Up for This 5K Run/Walk

This weekend, you can take part in a cause dear to the Houston community. Join the Houston PCOS Challenge 5K Run/Walk, presented by PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association to help support PCOS education, health screenings, and research. Don’t miss it this Saturday beginning at 7:00 a.m.

PCOS is a genetic, hormone, metabolic and reproductive disorder that affects up to 15% of women in the U.S. It is one of the most critical, under-diagnosed, underfunded and neglected areas of health which can lead to lifelong complications, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, endometrial cancer, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and other serious conditions.

Because of individuals like you, The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association now touches the lives of tens-of-thousands of women with PCOS and their supporters each year through television and radio programming, a magazine publication, online and offline support groups, health screenings, grants, research, education and awareness initiatives. Since the Association’s beginning, the organization has helped many women find answers that helped them overcome struggles.

The PCOS Challenge 5K Run/Walk events are part of the largest campaign raising awareness and funds to help fight PCOS. So, help spread awareness and raise critical funding when you participate this Saturday at Memorial Park Purple Trail!

Registration for the PCOS Challenge 5K Run/Walk ranges from $10 to $25 for adults and children. There is a virtual walker/runner package available, as well as fundraising incentives for participant.
