Support a Worthwhile Cause During the 17th Annual Run for the Rose

Brain cancer will once again meet its match on Sunday, March 31st, as patients, supporters and family members converge for the 17th Annual Run for the Rose. Run for the Rose supports MD Anderson Cancer Center’s immunotherapy research, new drug development and clinical trials for patients with brain cancer, as well as neuroscience research initiatives and the Pediatric Palliative Care Program at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Race-day activities include a 5K, Family 1K and a post-race party. Timed 5K participants are eligible to win awards which will be given to male and female 5K participants who finish first, as well as the top three male and female finishers in specific-age categories. All children will receive medals. To receive mobile text updates regarding race day, opt-in on RainedOut or text RFTRTEXT to 84483.

What began as a simple walk in her memory has turned into multiple programs directed at eradicating brain cancer and continuing Dr. Rose’s legacy in pediatric initiatives. The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation was the first organization in Houston, TX, to raise funds specifically for brain cancer research. The Foundation now has given more than $6 million to Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

At Oxford at Country Club Apartments in Baytown, Texas, we pride ourselves on informing our residents about all the upcoming events our beautiful community has to offer. Don’t hesitate to join this event on Sunday!
