Walk for the Cure When You Attend This Breast Cancer Fundraising Event on Saturday Morning
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is ready to ignite the fight against breast cancer on Saturday, November 9th. Gather your friends and family and head to CityCentre this weekend to join in the fun!
The American Cancer Society started Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks to unite communities in the fight against this deadly disease. Today, Making Strides is the largest network of breast cancer events in the nation - and participants do more than just walk. They raise money to help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and provide patient services like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near treatment, and a live 24/7 cancer helpline.
But the American Cancer Society can’t do any of this without the help of people like you. Funds raised at this non-competitive, family-friendly event enable the American Cancer Society to save lives from breast cancer by investing in groundbreaking research; providing free, comprehensive information and support to those touched by the disease; and helping people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.
At Making Strides events around the country, people are coming together to celebrate survivors, have fun, and raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives from breast cancer.
If you’d like to join the fight against breast cancer, join the American Cancer Society for a morning dedicated to a cause dear to the Houston community. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by a stage program at 8:30 a.m., and the 2-mile walk at 9:00 a.m. For more information, please visit www.makingstrideswalk.org.
At every corner you turn, there is always something to do when you reside at Oxford at Country Club Apartments in Baytown, Texas. On Saturday, grab a few close friends or neighbors to take part in this wonderful event that is sure to add some excitement to your day!
