Celebrate the First Lady of Jazz with the Houston Symphony

The Houston Symphony has a special performance planned to kick off Steven Reineke’s inaugural season as Conductor, and it’s one you don’t want to miss! The program will celebrate one of his all-time favorite artists, the Queen of jazz Ella Fitzgerald, and promises to wow audiences with all her hits like you’ve never heard them before.

In honor of Ella Fitzgerald’s 100th birthday, Reineke has lined up three formidable vocal powerhouses to deliver Lady Ella’s music that the world has come to cherish, such as “Dream a Little Dream of Me,” “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)” and “Summertime.” The Houston Symphony is pleased to present this incredible performance!

At Oxford at Country Club Apartments in Baytown, Texas, it is clear that we have it all, but we still feel obliged to inform you of all the events our community has scheduled. Please feel free to join in all of the fun at this event!
